Whats App now reportedly lets you share any file type

 

Whats App is reportedly testing a feature that will let you share just 

any type of file.


While until now the world's top instant messenger supported sharing of specific 

file types such as docs, spreadsheets, slides and pdf, etc., Now, the company is 

said to be Whats App is working on a new functionality that in the messenger 

that will support all kinds of file types. 


According to a report in wabetainfo website, a WhatsApp update now brings the 

ability for the messenger to share any file type.  And it will arrive on three 

major  Platforms Android, iOs, and Windows phone.



The Maximum file upload size is 128MB for iOS and 100MB for Android.

And  that users will also be able to share any file from WhatsApp desktop 

version also.

New Features


1. The Album feature enables users to organize images in a better way.



2. When users send or receive a collection of five or more photos/ 

videos, they will automatically be grouped together as an album, 

creating a tile display within the messages.


3. The Filters functionality lets users add filters to their photos, videos 

and GIFs, directly from the app's camera. 


4. The Reply shortcut is designed to make it easier for the users to 

reply to WhatsApp messages.


 
5. In another development, WhatsApp recently announced that it has 

extended its support for Nokia S40 OS.
